For some the internet is a field of dreams where unbelievable sums of money can be made, for many others the internet is a pipe dream to an end goal. When it comes to the internet, just because you 'build it' does not mean 'they will come'. For example, think of the most obscure thing you can come up with (the more obscure the more it will prove my point) and Google it. Despite your seemingly obscure search query Google probably returned thousands, if not millions, of results. This demonstrates just how vast the internet really is.
Then how does anyone get their site found for anything? By using search engine optimization (SEO) techniques we can build a site that shows on the first page of search results for your target keywords. This is a lot more work than a standard website build, it takes planning, research, and a lot of hard work to build a high performance website. But the extra work pays dividends, with higher traffic, greater number of leads, and increased revenue for the site's owners.
